Privacy Policy

BaseMapped LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SpeakSheet mobile application ("SpeakSheet" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App.

SpeakSheet is a voice-powered invoice maker that lets contractors, freelancers, and small businesses dictate job details, generate invoices, and export editable PDF invoice documents. The free tier includes 3 new invoices per calendar month, with optional rewarded ads available for additional invoice runs when supported.

1. Information We Collect

a. Voice Recordings and Transcripts

When you use SpeakSheet's voice-to-invoice feature, the App accesses your microphone to record audio. Audio may be processed locally and/or through automated transcription and invoice-processing partners to generate a transcript and structured invoice fields. We do not store raw audio recordings on BaseMapped servers.

b. Invoice, Job, and Client Data

Invoice details, line items, client names, client email addresses or phone numbers you enter, addresses, notes, job records, and invoice totals are stored primarily on your device. Free-tier invoice data is local-first and is not intentionally backed up to our cloud database.

For active premium subscribers, cloud backup may store invoice records and supported settings in Supabase under your app user ID. Large local assets such as logo image files and custom template HTML may remain device-local.

c. Photos

Job photos are stored on your device. Photo metadata, such as captions and local file references, may be included in premium cloud backup. Actual image files are not uploaded to BaseMapped servers unless you explicitly share them through email, messaging, or another app.

d. Account and Authentication Data

SpeakSheet does not require a cloud account for free-tier use. When a premium feature such as cloud backup needs a cloud identity, the App may create a random anonymous app user ID or use a supported sign-in provider. We do not collect passwords.

e. Purchase and Subscription Data

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple App Store and Google Play. We receive subscription status, entitlement information, renewal status, and purchase validation data through RevenueCat to unlock premium features. We do not collect or store your payment card information.

f. Device and Diagnostic Data

We may collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data to maintain app stability and troubleshoot problems.

g. Advertising Data

Free-tier users may see banner advertisements and optional rewarded full-screen advertisements provided by Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads by default. Google AdMob may receive device, app, and ad interaction data needed to deliver ads, measure performance, and protect against fraud or abuse. Premium subscribers do not see in-app ads.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide voice-to-invoice transcription, invoice generation, job management, and PDF export.
• To process subscriptions, restore purchases, and validate premium entitlements.
• To back up premium subscriber invoice data when cloud backup is enabled.
• To show non-personalized banner ads and optional rewarded ads to free-tier users.
• To diagnose bugs, improve reliability, and protect the App from abuse.
• To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data only as needed with:

• Supabase - cloud database, authentication, and Edge Function hosting for premium backup and automated processing.
• RevenueCat - subscription management, entitlement checks, purchase validation, and restore purchases.
• Apple App Store and Google Play - app distribution, purchases, and subscription management.
• Google AdMob - non-personalized banner and rewarded advertising for free-tier users.
• Automated processing partners - transcription and invoice field extraction when you use voice-powered invoice generation.
• Law enforcement or regulators - only when required by valid legal process.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Local invoice data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the App. Premium cloud backup data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual jobs inside the App. To request deletion of cloud data associated with your app account, contact us at [email protected].

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including TLS encryption for data in transit and provider-level access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and you are responsible for reviewing exported invoices before sending them to clients.

6. Your Choices

• You can revoke microphone, camera, and photo permissions in your device settings.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
• You can choose not to watch optional rewarded ads; they are not required to use your monthly free invoice allowance.
• You can delete local App data by deleting jobs or removing the App from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

SpeakSheet is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

8. International Users

Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed outside your jurisdiction.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice in the App where required.
