Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") before using the BaseCalc Electric mobile application ("App") operated by BaseMapped LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using BaseCalc Electric, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

BaseCalc Electric is a field calculator and job worksheet app for electricians. The App includes NEC-aware electrical calculators, saved calculation history, local job contacts, job worksheets, materials planning, and worksheet PDF export.

2. Professional Reference Tool

BaseCalc Electric is a professional reference tool, not a substitute for professional judgment, licensed engineering review, legal advice, inspection, or authority-having-jurisdiction approval. Electrical codes change, local amendments may apply, and field conditions matter. You are responsible for verifying all calculations against the current National Electrical Code, local amendments, manufacturer instructions, and applicable law before relying on them.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of the job contacts, worksheets, calculation inputs, calculation results, company settings, notes, and PDFs you create in the App ("User Content"). You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and backup of your User Content.

4. Local Data and Backups

The v1 launch build stores BaseCalc Electric data locally on your device. If you delete the App, lose your device, or restore from a backup that does not include App data, your local records may be lost. You are responsible for exporting or backing up any records you need to retain.

5. Purchases and Future Paid Features

If subscriptions or paid features are enabled, purchases will be processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices and terms will be shown in the App before purchase. Store purchases, cancellations, renewals, and refunds are governed by Apple App Store or Google Play policies.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the App for unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, or misleading work.
• Do not rely on the App without independently verifying code compliance and field conditions.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where permitted by law.
• Do not interfere with the App, its store distribution, or any related service.
• Do not use the App to create fraudulent worksheets, handoffs, or records.

7. Intellectual Property

BaseCalc Electric, BaseMapped, and their related software, designs, features, logos, and branding are owned by BaseMapped LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the App or our intellectual property.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with Apple App Store, Google Play, operating system services, PDF sharing tools, and other apps you choose to use. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every calculation, code reference, worksheet, handoff, or PDF output will be correct for your specific project, jurisdiction, or business use.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BaseMapped LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or job-site costs, arising out of or related to your use of BaseCalc Electric. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or USD $100, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature where required by law, store policy, safety concerns, or business reasons.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of BaseCalc Electric after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless local law requires otherwise.
